Canyon Fun!!!! Malibu Canyon 8/10/08

I have been working on some video I shot from a day spent driving in the Malibu Canyons. We did about 200 miles round trip total and hit a bunch of roads. There were 4 of us total from the MOCC forums, Candy Blue, Zack and O.G.Sk8er as well as myself. I tried a different camera position this time and it seemed to work out better than last time. I am also working on getting a wireless bullet cam or 2 to get some other interesting shots. I will post each individual run on my videos section for my car, but for now, check out the highlight videos from that day.

This is part 1 of 2. I will have the 2nd part up whenever I decide to get around to editing it.

New License Plate Mount

Posted on 5th August 2008 by Joe in MOCC, My car - Tags: , ,

I didnt like the center mount of the license plate on my car and finally was able to find a mount soutable. I picked up a toe hook license plate hook from RHO Plate out of Canada. Works really well and puts the plate in a good location on the car without blocking any air flow. What do you think?

Do you like my license plate position

So way back when the iphone app store was announced, I thought one of the coolest things would be some sort of performance monitor/test software. Something that could read 1/4 times, acceleration and give an estimated horsepower. If it could hook to some sort of OBD-II cable or device that could also read your cars computer than further bonus.

Well today. Part of my wish has come through. A program called Dynolicious was released today that does a few of those things. It can read acceleration as well as braking an lateral G Forces. It will give you an estimated quarter mile a well as further break downs of distance and log it all for you. It also does averages and can log multiple cars. I also found it can do an estimated up reading but that an really only be a guestimate and not accurate. So from time to time I will post some of the info from it on here. Attached are a few screens from the app.
